Unlike traditional flat screens, this animated short is projected onto a ceiling dome, inviting the audience to lie on the floor and gaze upward. This was also my first formal team project, where my two teammates and I handled everything together—from brainstorming and storyboarding to final execution.

This work talks about the phenomenon of Mars retrograde and its historical legend, '熒惑守心.' We witness an innocent Chancellor unjustly imprisoned and poisoned to death, with the cosmic force 'Yinghuo' (Mars) recounting this untold injustice. We envisioned Yinghuo as a shapeshifting creature capable of altering its size and form—a monster born from humanity's collective fear of celestial omens.
