惡虫是一部利用黑色幽默探討人性的動畫作品：若從出生起便身在一個在艱難、物資缺乏的環境中，你會為了生存做出什麼樣的惡行呢？你能夠察覺自己行為中的邪惡嗎？會怪罪他人的殘忍嗎？你又會壞到什麼地步才停手呢？

The inspiration for this project traces back to two of my earlier works,
and , both exploring thoughts on smaller, minute forms of life. This time, I realized that our contempt for insects mirrors how we treat those at the bottom of society—regarding their lives as less significant, their deaths as less sorrowful and judging them for stripping away their dignity and humanity just to fight over petty resources. Yet, including ourselves, in the eyes of those with immense wealth and monopolized resources, we too are nothing more than pests.
